The Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) has been charged with the responsibility of contributing to national development through the provision of efficient and effective labour and social security services within the context of a globalized economy.

As minister, it is my goal to transform the lives of Jamaicans by providing quality labour and social protection services, improving benefits and opportunities available to citizens including youth, the working class, vulnerable groups, and retirees.

This, I believe, can be done through the ramping up of support to citizens along with the implementation of modern technology and the best international practices to promote social and economic empowerment and achieve industrial harmony.
